    …Mitchell, 59, is minister of education at First Baptist Church of Clinton and coordinator of the One Month effort. He said every two years, the alliance chooses a challenge or initiative to bring churches together.

    The upcoming challenge comes at a time of economic uncertainty when more people may be questioning the way they have lived their lives. Also, Mitchell said that because the effort is during the weeks leading up to Easter Sunday means many people will be in a reflective and prayerful mindset.

    “I believe it’s not by accident that God has us studying this,” he said. “We have to be brought back intentionally to God and focus on Him…”
